In the winter of 1964, the
new spirit was placed into three different kinds of wood: Fino Sherry,
Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry. The resulting whiskies from these different
types of wood are remarkable and a wonderful illustration of the contrast
that different cask types have on the complexities of the final spirit.
This is truly an
exceptional set of three 1964 Bowmore's and is one of the most complex and
compelling trilogies to be released from the Bowmore No.1 Vaults. It is a
wonderful demonstration of the effect the Fino, Bourbon and Oloroso casks
have had on the character of the maturing spirit, to produce three
distinctive and rare, yet complimentary examples of Bowmore Islay Single
Malt Scotch Whisky.

Tasting notes
A fragrant nose of
almonds, gooseberry and citrus fruits. A drop of water releases aromas
of
fresh Seville oranges. On tasting, a surge of the sweetest honey washes
over the palate before one experiences the rich smokiness of Bowmore.
The finish is slightly dry, long
and memorable.
